I love Hope, but that visit to Taylor was not it. Admitting she knows about the attraction her father feels for her? That’s crossing several boundaries without knocking.

And the compliments? Hope, please. This is the woman who thinks you’re trash, spent decades badmouthing your mother, yelled at you while you were heavily pregnant... The same woman who shot your father-in-law in the back and left him to die. But sure, let’s hype her up. How exactly is she so much better than Sheila Carter?

Yes, Sheila is more likely to go full chaos when she’s in pain, but let’s not rewrite history and pretend Taylor is some selfless saint. Putting everyone first... when? When she left the continent and ignored her children getting married and being hospitalized because she couldn’t stand seeing Ridge and Brooke together? When she went after Ridge while he was vulnerable and tried to push him into marriage even though she knew he wasn’t over Brooke? When she put Steffy in a mess because she didn’t want Bill to tell the cops she was the one who shot him? Or when she let Ridge rot in jail for her crime?

And then there’s Steffy. I get that she’s scared... no one wants their mom to be Sheila’s next target. But throwing demands around like she’s the CEO of everyone’s lives isn’t going to protect anyone. Loudly lecturing Deacon while Sheila was literally downstairs? Bold strategy. If Sheila had heard any of that, God only knows what would’ve happened. Steffy has many qualities, but subtlety and gentle delivery have never been her brand.
